PENGERTIAN VERTEBRATA
Vertebrata adalah subfilum dari Chordata, mencakup semua hewan yang memiliki tulang belakang yang tersusun dari vertebra. Vertebrata adalah subfilum terbesar dari Chordata. 


CIRI –CIRI CHORDATA

1. Memiliki notokord, yaitu kerangka berbentuk batang keras tapi lentur
2. Memiliki tali saraf tunggal
3. Memiliki ekor yang panjang ke arah pesterior terhadap anus
4. Memiliki celah faring
